Gems and Affixes
Affixes are the main reason to socket gems. Community answers consistently report that gemmed or pre-affixed lower-rarity gear can outperform empty higher-rarity gear.
Players disagree about gemming green gear: some fully socket it, while others buy cheaper greens that already carry the needed affix and save custom gem setups for blue gear or higher.
Set up the kit
Section titled “Set up the kit”- Open the Affixes page and choose effects that support the build.
- Use Gems to find matching combinations and levels.
- Compare gear that already carries the desired affix with the cost of adding a separate gem.
- Save the completed setup as a loadout and use quick-buy when replacing it.
- Price the equipment and gems together. Do not treat an old community kit price as current.
