Investigate Soul Experiments

The soul experiments are the key to unmasking the mastermind behind all of this. Traces of these experiments still stain parts of Hallowgrove, and the monstrous byproducts of these experiments roam the woods: The wandering Velgr Sorcerers, the terrifying Eeryls and their hatchlings, and the endlessly chanting Intrushes... Find these monsters, Gyldhunter, and tear the clues of the soul experiments from their remains.

Completion

You have gradually uncovered the true nature of the soul experiments. The Velgr sought to piece countless souls into a single vessel, aiming to create a new life form capable of harboring a "myriad of spirits." Yet those forcibly stitched souls never truly became one, continuously collapsing in agony and madness. The mastermind controlling it all has finally surfaced.

The creation born of dreams has blossomed into a flower of pure malice, bleeding a corruption over Hallowgrove and Brandrgarde no less devastating than Gyldenization. She lingers within the Divine Anchor, newly awakened from her long slumber. Who awakened her? And who will cast her back into eternal sleep? (You may choose to put an end to Sálmar, the Cursed Moonwane, or challenge General Harald or the Flesheater. They too await your judgment.)

To escape a fate of certain doom, some chose to defy the taboos left behind by the gods. But when that power grew beyond their control, their hopes became a calamity. The Prayer of the Moon, the Archwizard... they bound themselves to the Divine Anchor, utilizing souls and flesh to sustain that blasphemous experiment against the gods. From it, they nurtured a creation that should never have existed in this world: a False God. It was a nearly flawless embryo; had it not been for the assassination that fateful night, the entity would have been born into this world, fulfilling their lifelong desire.

You have vanquished the Cursed Moonwane, fulfilling the mission Dew entrusted to you. Return to her with the good news.
